District Deputy Grand Master
Fraternal Greetings from District 21, Oklahoma!
On behalf of the Most Worshipful Prince Hall Grand Lodge of Oklahoma, and it's Affiliated Adoptive bodies, I extend fraternal greetings and felicitations from "The Land of the Morning Calm", Korea.
District 21, Oklahoma is located on the peninsula of South Korea, we have lodges, chapters, commanderies, courts and palaces throughout the peninsula. operating under the auspices of the Most Worshipful Prince Hall Grand Lodge of Oklahoma. Our Most Worshipful Grand Master, Dr. is Deary Vaughn.
I commend the efforts of my Special District Deputy Grand Master, Charles L. Perkins, the entire district staff, Worshipful Masters and every one of our members in and out of country for your commitment and dedication.
To all members of District 21, we should all take pride in our institution and display that pride whenever we have the occasion to wear our regalia in public. We should allow our friends and neighbors to see Prince Hall's finest. This is what "we" are all about and should show the world our progress and togetherness. Then too, we should look upon our brothers and sisters as family, not as one of the black race or one of the white race, but as the human race. If we are to grow we must return to that place where some good brother or sister previously came and took our hand in theirs and asked us to step up with them.
Message to the Prince Hall Family - District 21 from Deputy Wilkins
In my message to you subsequent to being appointed as your District Deputy Grand Master, I pointed out that my desire and designs are progress through togetherness doing all I possible can do to meet the obligations and commitments of the District and adhere to the trust and confidence that you have placed in me.
My motto for 2000 and beyond is "Set the Example." This should be paramount among the District because of our universal human involvement. Through our efforts, a definite communities can be realized and a sense of achievement should derive by all whom are actively involved. Our presence and actions in our communities should always be beyond reproach because we are, and will always be subject to public examination, associated with institution rather than on an individual basis. We should always be conscientious over our outward demeanor and never be disloyal to our cause or public trust. We should set the example because our lead can easily be followed.
In this spirit I urge a faithful return to those wonderful places and seek the qualified, place your hands in theirs and walk. I urge all of you do not be satisfied in just being a member of your organizations or a dues card carrier, or one who makes only the festivities and elections. Do your organizations a service!!!
Warmest regards,
A. K. WILKINS
